To the Editor of The Northern Daily Mail.

Sir, would you kindly allow me through the medium of your paper, to 

express my deepest gratitude on behalf of myself and the two of my crew 

to all of the people who so nobly assisted us yesterday and who saved our 

lives when the barque Trio was lost.

Every care, consideration, kindness and comfort have been given to us 

and we are now progressing most favourably.
